Keloids need a plan tailored to their size, location, and how long they've been present. Dr. Namita Narkhede-Chopade assesses each keloid individually before recommending treatment — commonly a combination of steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, or cryosurgery, sometimes alongside pressure therapy.
Because keloid-prone skin can react to new injury by forming another keloid, treatment is planned carefully and monitored over several follow-ups.
