Botox is one of the most requested treatments at the clinic, and also one of the easiest to get wrong with over-dosing or imprecise placement. Dr. Chopade takes a conservative, physician-led approach — assessing your facial movement and goals before recommending units, rather than applying a standard dose to everyone.
How Botox works
Botulinum toxin temporarily relaxes the small facial muscles whose repeated movement creases the skin — frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet. Relax the muscle and the line softens; your other expressions stay intact. The skill is entirely in dose and placement: enough to smooth, never so much that your face stops moving naturally.
What the appointment involves
After a facial assessment while you talk and make expressions, injection itself takes around ten to fifteen minutes with a very fine needle. You can go straight back to your day, with a short list of same-day precautions. Initial effects appear within three to five days and settle fully by two weeks — which is when your review is scheduled, so any fine-tuning happens early rather than being lived with for months.
Honest expectations
Results last three to four months on average, gradually wearing off rather than dropping away overnight. Botox treats lines caused by movement; deep static creases and volume loss are different problems (often better addressed with fillers or resurfacing), and if that's what the assessment shows, you'll be told before any product is used.
